Life is full of emotions.

As learned in my Advertising325 class this semester, the emotional selling proposition (ESP) is used primarily in what we call effective advertising seen in primarily the Jewelry, Fashion, and Cosmetic department. Try browsing through a magazine without seeing an ad for one of these industries which doesn't use photography as its channel....... Any luck? Doubt it. Photography is critical for advertising execution. It exemplifies emotion filled photography to seduce the consumer to purchase the product. It shows a real life demonstration of the product just maybe not a real life demonstration of the model. ha. Its the only tangible evidence the consumer has of what the brand is trying to sell them.

 .

Speaking of fashion advertising, a special thanks goes out to the the most famous fashion photographer himself, Richard Avedon, the man who revolutionized the industry and redefined the role of a fashion photographer.
Avedon created artistic fashion and lifestyle images with unique style by creating an intense connection with each of his subjects.
He is the reason for the youthful and energetic photos we see today
Though he worked mostly with Vogue, he left a huge impact on the whole fashion industry as a whole

Ouch
an interesting fellow, that he was! when the whole anorexic model idea came into play, i have no idea. All i know is that if there's any one specific industry who appreciates photography, it would without a doubt be these guys ( or girls).

These are a few of his more popular
contributions.
